Psionic blade in progress

Here's the hilt of my psionic blade, still a work in progress. The designs on the overlay portion of the hilt were applied by salt water etching, using electrical tape as a resist. I was amazed that it turned out so neatly, with just a few small rough areas. I still have another switch hole to be drilled, and the opening on the opposite side of the overlay sheath needs its edges finished, not to mention the scratches that need buffing out. Eventually I plan to fill in the etched areas with metallic green paint.
